Day 1
In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I'm generally not a huge fan of my own writing and make it a point not to re-read what I've written once a fic has been posted. I know this leads to so many mistakes passing through.
The fics chosen below are all ones I'm sort of proud of writing; that not only helped me grow a little and improve my writing but were also fun to write. :) They might also kind of be my favorites.
Orchestra of Breathing
Ryan Ross/William Beckett | Spencer Smith/Jon Walker | Multiple Pairings
Drug Use | Growing Up | Model!AU | 26,000+
Bandom Big Bang Fic
Ryan Ross thought running away would solve all his problems, instead he finds himself more lost than ever with no clue about what he wants to do. A chance meeting at the bus stand leads one thing to another and gets him thrown headfirst into a world he has no idea about. Sadly, all that glitters is never gold and with even the people people around him now busy with their own lives, Ryan is finally, in a way, alone; taking decisions that will throw his life completely out of balance and make him go down a road he never thought he would.
Why this fic?
This is the longest fic I've written till date. It was written for Bandom Big Bang 2013 Wave 1. Bandom was my first fandom, and I still ship Ryan Ross with almost everybody but I have a huge soft spot for Ryan/Spencer, and ever since I started reading fics and thinking about maybe writing one day I wanted to take part in BBB. It was a challenge, definitely, and I would love to change so many things about the fic - the pacing, the lead up to the end, the characters but I'm also quite content with how it is because of the amount of effort that went into it then. :)
I also really like Ryan in this. ♥ And the platonic Pete&Ryan.
Motorcycles are for bad boys
Loki/Steve Rogers | (past) Loki/Tony Stark
AU : High School | Bad Boy!Steve | Smitten!Loki | 2400+
Loki couldn't just walk up to Steve Rogers, the hottest guy in school and ask him out. Loki never did the asking out, he was always the one who got asked out and this time would be no exception.
Why this fic?
Loki/Steve, man. I like rare pairings and I can totally see Loki/Steve happening for various reasons that I would love to go on and on about but I don't want to take up too much space here with my ramblings about my ships. ♥ I picked this 'cause it's such a light hearted fic and for some reason most of my Avenges fics have angst. Also Steve in a leather jacket on a bike. It was written for a prompt over on
norsekink that I fell in love with the moment I saw it. Now that I have re-read the fic, though, I need to start working on editing it because ugh, so many missing words and grammar mistakes! *hides in shame* Tbh, it was written in Feb last year and I have learnt so much since then so yeah.
A Dare is a Wish (your heart makes) - at fest | on Ao3.

hd_cliche
EWE | Drinking Games | Minister for Magic!Harry | Leatherpants!Draco | 12,000+
Draco waits as Blaise takes his time, downing Pansy’s shot and leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed behind his head, "I dare you to seduce a man of my choosing."
"A dare, Blaise, really? Are we twelve again?" Draco smirks, ignoring the slight interest he feels in the dare. It has been quite a while since he last faced a challenge.
Why this fic?
I had so much fun writing this! Without a doubt one of the least stressful writing I've done. The plot was clear in my head, I knew how to start it and where I wanted to end it.♥ This might also be one of the only fics I don't think I want to change anything in. I'm very content with it and though, yes, ofcourse, I still have issued with certain parts but I know that's just me. I think this was also one of the few times where Harry and Draco's characters were not a problem for me; generally I spend most of the fic writing process worrying about their characterisation and wether I'm messing it up. :)
