I still remember, the first time I read Skin - I kept on reading till 5 am! ♥ (Short note: There might be certain errors - spelling, grammar etc, in the fics but it's negligible once you start reading and get lost in the story.)

The characterization of Ryan is brilliant and perhaps what draws me to the fics so much; I have a soft spot as big as Hagrid for Ryan Ross. ♥ There are other things that draw me in too - dialogues, back story, UST!

Why this fic?
Vampires. There are vampires. It's a 255k, 15 fic series that expands on the vampire universe in the A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More "Touch Me". One of the things I loved the most was the politics and intrigue in the vampire, specifically Dandy, world. There have been loads of fics based on that video but very few have developed them further, or if they have, turned into something deep and filled with side plots and characters that are equally important and interesting. Like the Frank/Gerard track in this, even though we only get glimpses after Part 2, you keep wanting more, to know they're okay now. I loved the vampire psyche in this - ruthless and unapologetic, the constant power struggle drew me in, made me look for political machinations behind every action.

Oh God, there's so much more but I don't want to give away the plot. ♥

Not that the humans in the fic are scared of them, Ryan's constant power struggle with Brendon, his refusal to give in just because Brendon is a vampire, his demand for equal respect, that fact that he isn't at all attracted to Brendon just because he's a vampire - that's what made this such a joy to read. Ditto for Spencer!
