In your own space, talk about your fannish origin story. How did you come to fandom, why did you choose your fannish name, do you have more than one secret identity?

Once upon a time there was a girl who really loved a show called One Tree Hill.
Yep, One Tree Hill - That's what got me into fandom. So way back in 2006, when Season 3 ended and so did Lucas and Brooke's relationship I wasn't ready for it. So one day I was Google searching for anything related to Brooke/Lucas and there was a link to Brucas fanfiction which led me to ff.net and well, the rest is history.
That was the first time I realized that something called fanfiction exists and it's awesome. But in 2006 we still had limited internet so my browsing was severely restricted by the amount of Mb's left. And then the last Harry Potter book came out.
I've grown up reading Harry Potter, I read the first book when I was 11 and the last one when I was 17. I've never felt more full of despair then when I finished the last book because I wasn't ready for it to end. So I went back to my trusty old friend called Google who helpfully pointed me in the direction of fanfiction again. (and also a friend of mine who had read someone's version of the 7th book before it even released, there was a completely different ending.) And ofc, you can't lurk around ff.net without stumbling into slash. At least not then.
FF.net led me to livejournal which led me to bandom. (I've lurked a lot!)
Bandom was a huge source of comfort during difficult times, I think it had to do with how everything was in direct relation to the music and the artists, which already meant a lot to me.
Fandom's always been there for me, I've gotten through some really difficult time because of it! ♥ :) *wipes tears*
